Kelly Boyle, MA, LAC, NCC

Licensed Associate Counselor

Hi, I’m Kelly Boyle! I’m so glad you’re here. Taking the first step toward counseling can feel overwhelming, and I want you to know that you do not have to navigate life’s challenges alone. I am driven to provide a welcoming, comfortable, and nonjudgmental space where you feel safe to show up exactly as you are.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), with a strong emphasis on mindfulness, self-awareness, and valuing the mind-body connection. I also utilize a strengths-based approach, helping clients recognize and build upon the inner strengths they already possess. I believe that healing and growth happen when we learn to better understand ourselves, connect with our values, and move toward meaningful change with self-compassion and intention.

As your counselor, my goal is to walk alongside you on your counseling journey as you navigate challenges, learn more about yourself, and grow into the version of yourself you want to become. Whether you are working through a difficult season, processing life experiences, or seeking support and clarity, I am here to support you every step of the way.

I look forward to connecting with you and being part of your journey toward greater well-being and fulfillment.

Kelly Boyle, MA, LAC, NCC

Kelly Boyle is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) who brings a compassionate, strengths-based, and client-centered approach to counseling. She is passionate about creating a welcoming and supportive environment where clients feel safe, heard, and empowered throughout their therapeutic journey. Kelly believes that every individual has the capacity for growth and healing, and she works collaboratively with clients to help them navigate life’s challenges while building self-awareness, resilience, and confidence.

Kelly’s clinical background includes experience in community mental health, crisis intervention, psychiatric care, and outpatient counseling settings. She previously worked within a community counseling center in the Chicago area, where she provided care to clients across the lifespan with a wide range of presenting concerns. Through this experience, Kelly developed a strong appreciation for meeting clients where they are and supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and stages of life.

In addition to her community counseling experience, Kelly has worked as a Mental Health Associate with University of Kentucky HealthCare Psychiatric Services, supporting individuals experiencing psychiatric crises, suicidality, psychosis, detoxification, anxiety, and other acute mental health concerns. She also completed her internship with the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline Emergency Services team, where she provided crisis intervention, emotional support, de-escalation, safety planning, and connection to resources for individuals experiencing distress and crisis situations. These experiences have strengthened her ability to provide calm, empathetic, and trauma-informed support during vulnerable moments.

Kelly’s therapeutic approach is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), with a strong emphasis on mindfulness, self-awareness, and the mind-body connection. She integrates strengths-based and person-centered techniques to help clients better understand themselves, connect with their values, and create meaningful change in their lives. She believes therapy is not one-size-fits-all and adapts her approach to best support each client’s needs, goals, and lived experiences.

Kelly earned her Master of Arts in Counselor Education with a specialty in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Kentucky. During her graduate studies, she was a member of the Society for Collegiate Leadership & Achievement (SCLA) and Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Academic & Professional Society. She also completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Kentucky, where she majored in Psychology and Sociology with minors in Spanish and Criminology and served as Mental Health Chair within her collegiate sorority.

Whether you are navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, stress, or personal growth, Kelly is committed to walking alongside you on your counseling journey as you learn, heal, and grow. Her goal is to help clients feel empowered to move forward with greater clarity, balance, and self-compassion.
