Licensed Associate Counselor
Hi, I’m Cindy!
I’m so glad that you are here. I am a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC), specializing in sports performance and mindset training. However, I’m not just a counselor, I am a human (and an athlete), just like you. In my free time, I enjoy training and showing performance horses, mountain biking, traveling, and getting lost in a good book.
During therapy, I strive to help you become the best version of yourself. We can explore difficult issues in an emotionally safe environment, free of judgement. I believe that a therapeutic relationship based on trust is essential for successful outcomes. As we join forces toward your goals, I seek to provide a place to process your experiences and find support, education, and empowerment. I am committed to an inclusive counseling room that accepts all individuals.
My therapeutic approach is predominantly Person-Centered, which means that I focus on your personal strengths and promote self-exploration. I incorporate techniques from many therapeutic systems, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Gestalt Therapy. This holistic approach allows me to design a counseling program for your unique needs (therapy is not one-size-fits-all!).
Upon client request, I also provide an integration of faith and spirituality in counseling. Your spirituality or religion can be a powerful catalyst toward change, especially when applied alongside evidence-based counseling tools.
Finally, I offer mental coaching services to athletes and performers worldwide through our virtual platform. While coaching is not a replacement for counseling, it can be a helpful training resource for any individual trying to reach their fullest potential.
I look forward to meeting you soon!
